WE ARE WORKING ON DIVISION IN MATHS THIS WEEK-WE HAVE LEARNED THAT DIVISION IS IMPORTANT IN VERY SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES SUCH AS WHEN SHARE FOOD, WHEN WE GO TO THE BANK AND WHEN WE SHOP.

Term 2 week 8 news for 5/6 SC...

This week we were inspired by 'Dr. Juice' to create Superfood Smoothies... Tom, Riordan and Jess are part of the production team of an exciting new venture that we would like everyone to be a part of.....stay tuned for some exciting brain building news....In the meantime we would like to hear from you...let us know what is your favourite smoothie recipe.

News from 5/6 SC...

This week our focus school rule is 'Move Safely'. We made videos about what it means to move safely at school, as well as outside of our school grounds...

Our Year 5 students had a wonderful day last Monday 4th May, visiting our feeder schools, St Josephs and Mater Christi College. They had the opportunity to conduct experiments in the Science Lab, play Drama games , create Visual Art and lots more.
We also met many teachers and toured classrooms and school grounds.

Then on Tuesday 5th May all of our Year 5/6 girls attended Mater Christi to begin their Visual Art pieces for our Art Show in September. We enjoyed our first session in Print Making and a group of Mater Christi girls mentored us throughout the process.

We are very grateful to both Colleges, and their very generous staff, for this rich collaborative opportunity.

 As part of our 'Social Emotional Learning' and 'Wellbeing' Programs, we got together with our buddy class 1/2 J to make some mini-movies about our school rules.
The first rule we looked at was 'Speak appropriately'.
